Seymour Jacklin
Seymour Jacklin is a freelance writer based in Durham, UK. He is a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a background in psychiatric inpatient care and expertise in psychosis, depression, medication, risk assessment and care planning as well as experience in a variety of talking therapies. He has an honours degree in Anthropology where his final year dissertation studied the behavioural ecology of Vervet monkeys in the wild. He has an ongoing interest in human behaviour especially relating to health and wellbeing. As an active member of his local church, Seymour is a youth leader and has been mentoring younger men in their spiritual growth for the last ten years. He plays harmonica in a soul/country band called RSVP and is also proficient on the tenor banjo and clarinet. His writing draws on his professional and academic experience, his faith and a range of hobbies and interests that include environmental issues, sustainable lifestyles, vegetarianism, photography, natural history, spirituality, board games, jazz and folk music, social media, blogging, science fiction and creative writing.
